Debate on the Flex Workers' Security Act (Wmzf)

On Thursday, the House of Representatives debated the Flex Workers' Security Act (Wmzf), which aims to give employees on flexible contracts greater security in terms of work and income.

Several amendments have been proposed, including replacing equivalent pay with equal pay, but the Minister opposes these changes, reducing their chances of approval.

The NBBU has raised its concerns with the House of Representatives, sending a letter to all Members of Parliament outlining the potential impact on the temporary employment sector if equal pay is no longer permitted.

The House will vote on the amendments on April 21 and on the full legislation on May 12. The implications for the sector will become clear thereafter, and we will provide updates as more information becomes available.
